After our sledding adventures, Anne Marie & I ran out to do some errands. By this time, my voice was so tired and worn out from my laryngitis, that I could hardly talk. Everytime I started to talk, I would start coughing really hard. So, I snagged some free candy canes from Seagull Book to suck on. *sigh* My voice is finally getting better, although at times I still have to whisper. While we were gone, the kids played Mario Kart.
After our errands, Rachel, Jared, Tanner, Spencer, Scottie & I played our new game of Hyper Dash. I got quite a workout in, and I was so sore the next day! It's a great game for kids, families, friends . . . For the younger kids, it helps teach numbers, colors, and some basic addition. For those of us that are older, it's just plain fun! Try it out sometime.
While we played, Anne Marie napped in anticipation of staying up until midnight, while Brandon & Mike watched a crazy, weird, Kung Fu movie (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). They both enjoyed it, although for Brandon, it wasn't as good as the first or second time he'd seen it. :)
Then, we had dinner - typical New Year's stuff . . . pizza, li'l smokies, m & m's, bean dip, cookies . . . We let the kids stay up until about 10:30 playing games and just being kids, then put all of them but Rachel to bed.

The rest of us stayed up and visited until midnight, then kissed our spouses, smacked Rachel on the cheeks, and went to bed! We had such a fun time having them up here, and I'm so glad they came! I got to spend lots of time holding and snuggling and playing with my nephew. It's so fun to have a baby in the house again! Thanks again for coming up guys!
