So, Saturday was crazy, busy for me. The boys were up before 7:30 (what happened to my one day of sleeping in??) playing and laughing and wanting breakfast. After breakfast, we had to do haircuts - my boys (Brandon included) were all looking kind of shaggy. After that, from about 11:30 to 2:00, I had to squeeze in a shower, make cinnamon rolls, eat lunch, do my hair and makeup, and make it to choir practice on time. Choir wasn't over until around 3:45, so I didn't make it home until 4:00. *sigh* I helped Brandon with some lists that needed checking against other lists, then I finally got time to call my sister.
She wasn't home, and her son was sorely disappointed that BYU was losing right then. She called me back and we chatted for a while, as we always do, when Brandon came up and said that if we could have dinner made and eaten in 30 minutes, we'd do something cool. I was thinking it was maybe a game on the Wii, or building Lego's with the boys, so I didn't hurry too much. I did get dinner ready, though, and when we sat down to eat, he told me I had ten minutes to eat, change my clothes and be ready for our cool thing. Huh?
So, I swallowed dinner, changed my clothes, and got ready. Come to find out, the high school was putting on a production of Grease! He took me out for ice cream at Charlies (chocolate ice cream, with crushed oreos mixed in - Yummy!). The play was pretty good, and it was fun to get out. I couldn't help but sing along, and it made me miss being involved in musical things everyday. It was a lot of fun, and such a nice surprise! Thanks Brandon!
